Courageous Sailing – Make a Mark Event
One of the events I like to participate in. Courageous Sailing’s Make a Mark yearly party is one of the best fundraising events in Boston. They continue to do tremendous work to help enrich the lives of children through educating them and teaching them sailing skills.
Make-A-Mark features cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dancing and great music, while taking in the beautiful skyline from Boston’s best waterfront venue. Any and all guests are welcome, even if you are not a sailor. All funds raised through our ticket sales, silent auction, raffle and event sponsorships go directly to support our youth programming and provide scholarships for children who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to learn to sail.
While Tickets are no longer available for this event, you can still get involved and support the organization by donating! Please click the link below to support Courageous Sailing and help enrich a child’s’ life.

Whom will the proceeds benefit?
Courageous Sailing teaches sailing and life skills free of charge to over 1,000 Greater Boston children each year. We use sailing instruction as a platform for learning and growth, with a focus on personal responsibility, communication, teamwork, problem solving, and stewardship. All funds raised through our ticket sales, silent auction, raffle and event sponsorships go directly to support our youth programming and provide scholarships for children who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to learn to sail.
Why are funds needed?
While Courageous provided over 30,000 hours of programming to over 1,000 children in 2014, and will provide even more in 2015, only one-third of students applying for our Summer Youth Program will be admitted into our program due to limited funding and capacity. Additional funding is needed to expand access and to maintain the high quality of our programming and fleet.
The content in this post was aggregated and collated from the official Courageous Sailing website to help spread awareness and drive potential fundraising for the organization.
